Mary Jane, My mother

I recently visited my mother. She is 83 years old. She's as sharp as a whip but she has bad knees. I have my mother's knees or maybe my Grandmother's, we aren't sure. It's nice when you can go home and everyone looks forward to evening and sitting in the recliner. It's a really nice time of day. Anyway, while we were there I learned something about my mother that I never knew. It had to do with Amelia Earhart. I couldn't believe she had never told me that before. When she was a young woman, before she married my father she had been offered a job. Working for Amelia's assistant. She would have been flying all over the world with this job. She turned it down. She doesn't even remember if she asked her parents about it. I thought that was amazing. What if she had taken that opportunity? I most surely wouldn't be here. Her life would have taken a much different tack
